Unix Timestamp Converter
Convert Unix timestamps to readable dates and convert dates back to epoch seconds and milliseconds. See UTC, device-local time, and an IANA timezone with batch conversion and CSV export.
Unix timestamp and date converter
Current Unix timestamp: Loading... seconds
Seconds and milliseconds are never guessed. Choose the unit explicitly; negative timestamps are supported.
How to use this tool
Select a conversion direction and, for epoch input, explicitly choose seconds or milliseconds. Enter one value per line, select an IANA timezone for local dates, then review individual results or export the batch as CSV. Processing happens in your browser; entered values are not sent to a service.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell whether a timestamp uses seconds or milliseconds?
Select the unit indicated by the source system. This converter never infers a unit based on digit count. Standard Unix timestamps are often seconds, while JavaScript Date values are milliseconds.
How does the converter handle daylight-saving time?
For timezone-free local dates, the chosen IANA timezone is used. Nonexistent clock times and repeated times during daylight-saving transitions are reported rather than silently guessed. An ISO 8601 offset identifies an exact instant.
Can I convert a list of timestamps?
Yes. Enter one value per line, choose the timestamp unit explicitly, then review each result or export all successful and invalid rows as CSV.
